elections

senatorial elections in progress. i was not able to register but i will make time in the future, to be able to vote.

i don’t know if it’s the frustration of those who voted and not seeing who they’re rooting for on top of the charts but some people are just being so… stupid. sorry the rage will come from judgement but i just want to let out what i feel right now because twitter is not safe atm.

“Binay is 4th?? Migrate na tayo?”

“Poe is first? AALIS NA AKO NG BANSA.”

“Ayoko muna sa Pilipinas for the next 6 years.”

If you give a shit about our country, you would never say such a thing. Walang solusyon sa sobrang arogante ninyong pag-iisip.

You may have meant that as a joke, but I’m sorry it just got my blood to boil.

And to all the young ones out there who only judge based on what they base off of Facebook, LOL AT YOU.

Yes, we all know about the corruption in our country and we’ve all heard of those names who’ve pocketed our taxes and such. These people have too much power in their hands, which none of us may be able to control. And yes our citizens may be voting for the wrong people, but this is also because of their lack of education and resources to learn of every candidate’s stand. Some citizens may just be like some of us - basing their votes on what they deem is helpful, beneficial and appropriate for out country. None of us really know the candidates outside of what the media tells us or what they tell the media about themselves. Only their own families or relatives know about every secret, or sometimes even only the candidate himself.

Basically what I’m trying to say is: LOOK AT YOURSELF. Lol jk. But on a serious note, I just want to say that YES every vote counts (I may have not voted, and yes I am guilty) but I would just like to point out that we should lead by example. I am sure most of us have more than enough resources to survive in this nation, but we forget about majority of the Filipinos who struggle to live day by day. We’re also the ones who have broken simple rules, and gladly get away with it, after complaining about messed up systems. To lead by example is one less of a culprit in our country’s book of lies.

Insert - [ I study in a University where incompetence and inefficiency is amidst its system as well. “Ano magagawa ko?” Diba? I just follow the system because I have no other choice. But I know one day I WILL HAVE A CHOICE. I know right now all I have is a voice. To ask, to suggest, to complain. But one day I will actually have a chance to bring change. The money I own right now is not mine, it is my parents. I am not bringing in any income at all to sustain for any of my needs. All I am doing at the moment is to save. I’m starting small but I know this will one day go a long way. I know I still save for material needs at the moment but I guess that’s better than asking for more money out of my parents’ pockets. ]

Okay I guess this helped a little. I just hope there’ll be less arrogance and more sensitivity for this nation! Pray for the Philippines!
